Waupaca Area Parks

BOWERSOX PARK
Located on Shadow Lake Road, this park provides parking for fishermen, small picnic area and is where the fireworks are set off.

BRAINARD’S BRIDGE PARK
Located along the Waupaca River, much kept in its natural splendor. This park has a shelter, electricity, water, restrooms, grills, playground, sand volleyball and picnic area. This park is unique for it’s connecting iron bridges. This is an excellent photo area for weddings or portraits.

DOG PARK
Located on County Trunk K south of the city of Waupaca and adjacent to the Waupaca Regional Recycling and Composting Center.

HABERKORN ATHLETIC AREA
Located just off of Hwy 22 & 54 on Wells Street, this park complex offers lighted tennis courts, lighted basketball court, batting cage, lighted softball and baseball fields, football field, track area, and restrooms.

HARTMAN CREEK STATE PARK
The 4,417 acre park, west of Waupaca off State Highway 54, provides outdoor recreation experiences in all seasons. It has a 101-site fmaily campground, and five group camping sites with a swimming beach and picnic areas. Another picnic area is at Whispering Pines on the Waupaca Chain O' Lakes. This 30-area property was donated to the park in 1977. It is located  off County Trunk Q on Whispering Pines Road. any motor vehicle entering the park must have or purchase a Wisconsin State Park vechicle admission sticker.

MIDDLE SCHOOL AREA
Located near the Middle School on Shoemaker Street, this area includes four lighted tennis courts, lighted softball field, baseball field, bathrooms and open space.

NELSON PARK
The Crystal River winds its way through wooded Nelson Park at the Red Mill. This half-acre park hosts resstroom facilities, picnic tables and grills, a gootbridge to a small island and riverside benches. Nelso nPark is a popular area for fishing and picnics and is located approximately 2 miles south of the city of Waupaca on County Trunk K.

OAKWOOD PARK
This 26.6-acre park is located near the Chain O' Lakes west of Waupaca on Country Trunk Q near the Indian Crossing Casino. Facitlities include picnic tables, grills, playground equipment, restrooms, drinking water and nature trails. A railroad tie walkway is a feature of the trail, which provides access to a small wilderness pond. It is located in the town of Farmington on County Trunk Q.

PEOPLE’S PARK
Located on the corner of Harrison Street and Granite Street, it boasts a large two tiered floral display, with walk through and park benches.

POEHLMAN PARK
Located on Willard Street, this is a neighborhood style park which includes a small shelter, picnic area, playground and open space.

RASMUSSEN PARK
Located at the north end of Main Street, this is an aesthetic park bursting with a colorful floral display, waterfall, and permanent picnic table on top.

RIVERSIDE PARK             
Located on Hwy 22 & 54, with an open play area, picnic area, grills, horseshoe pits, shelterhouse, electricity, water, restrooms, sand volleyball court, playground, and linkage to River Ridge Trail. Park offers canoe access to Waupaca River.

RIVERVIEW PARK
Located behind Main Street along the Waupaca River. Park offers an open area, wood playground, picnic area and public state area.

SCHWENN PARK
Located at the end of East Fulton Street, this is a small neighborhood style park, with a picnic area and playground.

SHAMBEAU PARK
Located on the northeast side of Waupaca off Country Trunk E, this park encompasses an old, water-filled granite quarry.

SOUTH PARK
Located between Mirror and Shadow Lakes at the south end of Main Street. The upper part offers our largest shelter, grills, restrooms, electricity, water, playground, picnic area and access to sand beach area with full supervision (includes diving dock and kiddy dock). The lower part offers a shelter, electricity, water, restrooms, grills, sand volleyball and access to fishing dock.

SWAN PARK
Located on Brainerd Road, this 140 acre park contains 3 lighted baseball/softball fields, bathrooms, concessions, large playground, trails, skateboard facility, sand volleyball and ample parking.


TERRACE COURT PARK
Located at the end of Terrace Court, this is a small neighborhood style park, with a picnic area and playground.
