Personal Canoeing - The Embarrass River and upper Wolf River above New London provide opportunity for personal canoeing.

The Little Wolf River - Famous for fast, clean water this river is home to an array of fish species including Small and Large Mouth Bass, Rock Bass, Northern Pike and Trout. It's also a great place to enjoy inner tubing and canoeing or just spend some leisure time on the banks of the river.
The Wolf River - For fishing and boating, Riverside Park on W. Wolf River Avenue in New London is equipped with a bait shop, shelter house, multiple docks, and restrooms. Docks are also found downtown in Taft and Loss parks, or at restaurants. Moor your boat and explore our many shops or grab a bite to eat. The legendary “Walleye Run” on the Wolf River in the spring of the year boasts some of the best and earliest walleye fishing in Wisconsin. The Wolf River keeps the fisherman busy with white, small mouth, large mouth, and rock bass. Fish any season for the “people’s fish” of Wisconsin, the northern pike. Looking for a challenge? Sturgeon Spawning on the Wolf River - View sturgeon, up to 6 feet long, spawning on the Wolf River near New London. This incredible sight lasts for only a couple of days in April or May after the water temperature has reached 52 - 54 degrees. Swimming - The New London Aquatic & Fitness Center is a year-round indoor facility with a hot tub and a multi-purpose weight and fitness room. Just opened the summer of 2008 is an outdoor Wolf River themed Splash Pad. They also have a schedule of swim lessons and activities.
Several lodging facilities in town have indoor pools and hot tubs, and several campgrounds have sandy beaches either on a river or spring fed pond.
