New London's Heritage Historical Village / Railroad Museum features many historic buildings which have been relocated from the surrounding area and are furnished with period furnishings. Inside the train depot are some museum displays that include railroad artifacts and memorabilia. Outside is rail stock that includes a diesel engine, boxcar, and two cabooses. The village is open on the first and third Sunday’s from June thru August. Hours are 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Group tours or appointments can be made by calling (920) 982-8557 or (920) 982-5186.
American Water Spaniel Historical Marker
Franklin Park is the site of a historical marker for the American Water Spaniel which was perfected, standardized, and registered by Dr. F. J. Pfeifer of New London. The breed is also the Wisconsin state dog.
