Heritage Historical Village

A 300 hp locomotive, boxcar, and two cabooses on display.New London's Heritage Historical Village with a Railroad Museum is open on the first and third Sunday’s from June thru August.  Hours are 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Group tours or appointments can be made by calling (920) 982-8557 or (920) 982-5186.  The village features many historic buildings which have been relocated from the surrounding area and are furnished with period furnishings.  Inside the train depot are some museum displays that include railroad artifacts and memorabilia.  Outside is rail stock that includes a diesel engine, boxcar, and two cabooses.

Established in 1917 with the donation of the unique taxidermy collection of Charles Carr, the museum’s permanent collection includes a wide range of artifacts, rare books, Native American objects and a military collection.  Take a walk through time as you view the ever changing historical themed displays offered throughout the year.
