Enjoy any season as you hike or bike the ½ mile Fremont Nature Trail.  Our nature trail winds through a typical Northwood’s forest abounding with wildlife and wild flowers.   We invite you to take pleasure in our trails natural beauty.   

Boating
The Wolf River is the largest river in Waupaca County offering over 90 miles of navigable water in its 225 mile stretch.  The state of Wisconsin classifies the Wolf River as a “pristine waterway”, ensuring it’s preservation for generations to come.  Not only does Fremont have the largest river in Waupaca County, it also has the largest lake!  Partridge Lake located on the northwest side of the village is approximately 1 ½ miles wide by 1 ½ miles long.  The extension of the “rock wall” has created a unique sandbar at the entrance to the lake from the Wolf River.  The “rock wall sandbar” offers a spot for boaters to spend a relaxing day swimming or sun bathing on the lake.  Experience the Wolf, offering the avid water enthusiast endless activity and quite simply a boater’s paradise.
